The McDonald’s Virtual Cash-Out platform allows Gift Card holders to request a Cash-Out redemption where required by state law. Only certain states require Cash-Out redemption. Eligibility varies by state law, but generally requires that:
- the remaining balance of your Gift Card is below a specified dollar amount, and
- the Gift Card has been used at least once.
Initiating a Cash-Out Request
Click the button below to submit your request. If your request meets all legal requirements, your Cash-Out redemption will be issued via check, PayPal, or Venmo.
You must certify that you are the legal holder of the Gift Card and that:
- you are at least 18 years of age, or
- you are at least 13 years old and using this site with the permission of a parent or legal guardian.
Additional Terms
If your Cash-Out request is approved, your redemption will be sent using your selected payment method. Please note:
- you may submit one request per 24-hour period,
- Cash-Out is provided by the Card Issuer at no charge, and
- any fee required to enable an instant transfer from a payment app to your bank account will be reflected as an offset in the Cash-Out redemption.

The Card Issuer reserves the right to decline any Cash-Out request:
- where the Card or Card Balance is believed to be sourced or derived through fraud or other unlawful or unauthorized means,
- where the request for redemption is believed to be associated with fraudulent or unlawful activity, or
- where you are not entitled to redemption under applicable law.
The Cash-Out request process is monitored for fraud and other unlawful activity. Abuse of the system may result in cancellation of your Card Balance and/or referral for prosecution.
